Missionaries of Perpetual Help in accion

Our Congregation has for its apostolic end, "The proclamation of the Gospel and human promotion through missions and catechesis and the dedication to works of educational character in favour of children and youth”2, preferably the most abandoned.  With our gaze fixed on Jesus the Redeemer and Mary of Perpetual Help, and prompted by the missionary dynamism of our Founders, we     participate in the apostolic mission of the Church through the proclamation of the Gospel  preferably  to the poor (cf.  Lk 4, 18).  We take as our own the pastoral needs of the Church, willing to encounter those who do not know Christ and those who live away from Him, in order to sow and fortify in them the seeds of the Word (cf.  AG 11; 13).  (Const. # 6)

Our Congregation, moved by the Holy Spirit (VFC 46; 58 a) to participate in the evangelizing mission of the Church (Mt 28: 19-20; VC 78; RMi 9, 121) is essentially missionary (RMi 21; EN 59 b, c).  We receive from the Church the mission of dedicating ourselves to the explicit proclamation of the Gospel (DGC 50; PCP II 104) in accordance with the Charism received by our Founders in which we share and continue to live.  (Const. #78)
